THE MIRROR FOUNDATION
AND HUMAN RIGHTS

The Mirror Foundation is a Thai Non Government Organization working in Chiang Rai Province, Northern Thailand. It aims to help hilltribes adapt to the modern world while retaining their traditional culture.
Thirty percent of ebannok’s profits are donated to The Mirror Foundation. This money is used by several projects defending the rights and identity of hilltribes. The Thai Citizenship Project is one of these teams.

THE THAI CITIZENSHIP PROJECT

Many hilltribes have lived in Thailand for generations but still lack citizenship. This denies them the right to subsidised healthcare, unrestricted travel and fair wages, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation.
The Thai Citizenship project:
• Assures accurate and complete documentation
• Finds sponsors for expensive DNA testing
• Assists individuals unfairly arrested for leaving their sub-district

    เดิมที คนชนเผ่าใช้นกหวีดดินเป็นอุปกรณ์หนึ่งในการล่าสัตว์ในป่า โดยลักษณะการใช้งาน คือเมื่อเข้าป่า เขาจะเป่านกหวีดเลียนแบบเสียงนกชนิดนั้นๆ ทำให้นกเข้าใจผิดคิดว่าพวกพ้องของตัวบินเข้ามาใกล้ เขาก็จะยิง นำมาทำอาหาร
